Who We Are
Evergreen Adventure Playground is an open access and inclusive play project managed by Evergreen Play Association, a voluntary committee made up of parents of children who use the play ground and other interested local people. The Association employs a number of trained full time play leaders and workers who are responsible for supervising the children, organising activities and the day to day management of the site.
What We Do……
We aim to provide free, safe, creative facilities for local children aged between 5 and 15. The playground occupies an acre site and has its own purpose built play building which contains a large hall for activities and games, an arts and crafts room, a soft play room, kitchen, office and toilets. The building has full disabled access. Our outside play area has a garden, wildlife pond and a wooded area as well as swings, sky dens, an aerial runway and a tree walkway. We have facilities for pottery, cooking and general arts & crafts, sports and games. Meals are not formerly provided. We also organise outings and day trips for which a charge may be made. No child is taken off the playground without the written consent of the parents or carer. There is no waiting list for places on the mainstream project. However all children must be registered. Please ask for a form from the senior workers. All information will be treated as confidential. |
